Bulgaria's Cabinet urged the National Assembly to ratify the country's European Union (EU) accession treaty and all the protocols and acts signed Monday in Luxembourg. All Bulgarian ministers issued a special political declaration urging the MPs to approve the treaty. The signing of the treaty does not end the efforts and the work we have to do, the ministers wrote in the declaration. It also reads that the Cabinet will maintain its work towards the establishment of a favorable business climate. Bulgaria's Cabinet also vowed to keep its reforms in the judicial system. "That is not a promise, but a confirmation of a policy which has been implemented over the last four years and that will go on to be executed within the term of the Cabinet," the governmental spokesman Dimitar Tsonev said. On Monday, Bulgarian state leaders signed in Luxembourg the crucial document. The country hopes to obtain full membership into the Union on January 1, 2007.
